Raised in the home of a missionary, John has been around ministry and youth work all his life.  After graduating from Word of Life Bible Institute he joined the staff of Word of Life where he and his wife, Cathy served for more than 25 years in both the camping and Local Church Ministries.

God has also opened the door for John to serve numerous mission agencies, camps, businesses, and higher education along with speaking at both evangelistic and leadership training events.  John has been described as passionate, purposeful, determined, and motivated.  John and Cathy have three children and two grandbabies.  John enjoys shooting trap, skeet, and sporting clays.  Cathy enjoys photography, sunshine, serving others, and most of all, grandbabies.  Together they love serving the body of Christ.

Adam Smehyl has been a resident of Sebring for over 30 years. He has been on staff at Bible Fellowship Church since 2016. Prior to ministry he spent 15 years in education mostly at the middle school level.

His wife, Stacy, serves on the worship team and in women’s ministry.

They have two children, Aubrey and Bauer, who are in middle and high school respectively.

The Smehyl family loves running as well as other outdoor activities and adventures.

Jordan Terrell grew up in Sebring and grew up at Bible Fellowship Church. After graduating from Sebring High School, he moved to Lynchburg, VA to attend Liberty University. While there, he majored in Worship and Music Studies and met a lovely Canadian girl named Josie MacInnis. After graduating and marrying said girl, Jordan and Josie moved to Dallas, TX where they worked at and attended Prestonwood Baptist Church for five and a half years. While in Texas they had two children, Jack and Charlie. Suddenly, living closer to family sounded like a good idea. God called Jordan and Josie back to Sebring and Bible Fellowship Church in 2018. Since then, Jordan and Josie had their third child, Oliver. 

Pastor Chris and Dana have been married for 40 years and have a daughter Hannah, a graduate of SHS who is now 20 and has served alongside them through the years and still serves with them today.  They began attending Bible Fellowship Church in 2004 and began volunteering in our Children’s Ministry in 2005. They served as volunteers overseeing our Wednesday Night Olympian program while serving in other areas of Children’s Ministry on Sunday Mornings. They are known for their passion to serve and teach the children in our community the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Chris and Dana assumed the position as staff in 2014 as our Children’s Ministry Directors and have been serving the Children’s Ministry here at BFC in total for 16years. They are also the founders and managers of Hope Ministry Children & Family Community outreach program. Where they take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the churched and unchurched children in our community.

Carl Gillilan has spent his career in the Financial industry working with  companies such as CitiGroup and Habitat for Humanity.  Currently, he invests in the Forex market & serves as Financial Administrator here at BFC.

Carl & his wife Frannie are both natives to Highlands County and have two girls, Kaylyn & Carlie. For fun the family enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it is relaxing at the beach, hiking, or camping. Carl's favorie Bible verse is John 3:16.

Jamal has worked in facility maintenance for 8 years.  He enjoys spending quality time with his wife & communicating with his children.  Sharing the love of Jesus is easy for Jamal!  His smiling face reveals compassion & humility.  Our team is committed to providing excellent support to the ministries of BFC.  Jamal's favorite verses from the Bible are: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and James chapter 1.

Ed ensures the day-to-day operations run smoothly to support the wide variety of ministries here on our campus. His friendly smile and servant's heart are well-known throughout our church family and community.

Jean serves as Administrative Assistant supporting the wide variety of ministries and keeping folks connected.  She loves getting folks plugged in as we continue to grow and be a light in our community.

Ed and Jean's son, Joshua, grew up here in Sebring and attended youth ministry programs. After graduating from UCF, Joshua now plays professional baseball.
